Cardinal Maritime is holding my goods hostage in Cape Town. They have given an extortionate invoice and claim the charges are determined by the shipper. Shipper says these fees are due as destination charges.

I am not sure whether it is Cardinal Maritime or the shipper who is responsible for the scam. Cardinal issues the invoice, so I must assume it is Cardinal Maritime who are the scam artists.

Goods value = $1400, invoice from Cardinal for destination charges = $2500.

Now they want to add storage charges in Cape Town even though their supplier told me they dont make a charge for storage since there is a large volume of goods.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $2500.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Location: Chartwell Drive 16, Umhlanga Rocks, Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, 4319

Latest info per 26/4/19: They have now reduced their charges from USD 4000 to USD 950. This clearly shows that they are scamming customers.

The latest dispute is storage charges. They now want us to agree the charges without having given us an invoice or any justification.

The delay in clearing our goods is caused by their extortion attempts. The drama continues...
